Rosie’s Wait and Gift of a new Heart

Imagine that you or one of your family members needed an organ transplant in order to continue living. The majority of us would accept an organ without giving it a second thought but due to a lack of awareness hardly any of us are registered as an organ donor. Even fewer have signed up our families to the register.

As a result, each year the harsh reality for thousands of people in the UK waiting for an organ transplant is that sadly many of them may never get the call telling them that a suitable organ donor has been found. If you wouldn’t think twice about accepting an organ to save a life, you shouldn’t think twice about registering to donate an organ to save a life. Please consider organ donation for you and your family (children can be donors too) and share your decision with loved ones. Register as an organ donor via; www.organdonation.nhs.uk or; 0300 123 23 23

Thanks to organ donation and an amazingly courageous, selfless family, Rosie received her gift of life and has now finally been able to return home. The multiple strokes Rosie suffered whilst waiting for a heart have left her with severe brain damage and she is currently unable to sit unaided, stand or communicate. We want to do everything we can to get Rosie as good as she can be. We therefore want to purchase specialist equipment and pay for private physiotherapy sessions for Rosie. Our incredible family and friends have already been so generous in thier love, support and donations to various charities on our behalf, so we do not expect them to further donate. However, we would really appreciate it if you could share this link and pass it on to any wealthy individuals or businesses that may be able to help. Thank you all so very much for your continued love and support x
